Year on year NAPIT continue to work alongside and support local and national charities. In 2017, NAPIT took part in a Corporate Social Responsibility scheme with Chesterfield based charity Ashgate Hospicecare and raised £11, 514.76 to go towards funding the vital pain relief and palliative care service for people with life limiting illnesses.
NAPIT also continue to support Macmillian’s Annual Coffee Morning in September. NAPIT staff based at the Head Office in Mansfield bake sweet and savoury treats which are bought for a donation with all proceeds going to the charity. Over the past three years NAPIT have raised £989.76 for Macmillian who support millions of people who are affected by cancer.
In 2018 NAPIT started a partnership with the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC). EIC help and support around 1.3 million people in the electrical and energy related industries, including NAPIT members and staff. NAPIT embarked on a 50 km walk along the Jurassic coast in support of EIC, as well as NAPIT staff taking part in smaller fundraising activities for the charity including taking part in their Power Lottery.
NAPIT raised £2,557 for the EIC to go towards there continuing efforts to support individuals and families with employment, health and financial issues through their variety of programmes.
